Shauna Stephenson

Why did you decide to join the Cass Community Health Foundation Board of Directors?

I hold a special place in my heart to be involved and support the community in which I live, love, work and play and I have always held in high regard what the Cass Community Health Foundation does for the children in our County.

How do your career and professional goals align with our work?

I work for a company who strives to extend vast support to our community, which aligns with my personal goals and believe mirrors the Cass Community Health Foundations goals.

How do you hope to impact the future of the Foundation?

I want to express to others what a difference we can make, when we work together.

Al Voelker

Why did you decide to join the Cass Community Health Foundation Board of Directors?

I joined the Cass Community Health Foundation Board in order to support the overall mission of improving the health of the children in Cass County.  I believe it takes everyone in a community coming together to support children to ensure all children find success.  The Cass Community Health Foundation plays an important role in our county and I want to help in whatever way possible.

How do your career and professional goals align with our work?

I currently serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services for the Raymore-Peculiar School District.  Our mission reads: Preparing EACH student for a successful and meaningful life.  I believe that mission accurately represents my personal goals.  My goals as an educator, and the goals of the Foundation, closely align.  In the end, I believe members of the Foundation, myself personally, and the vast majority of our county want all kids to find success and are willing to work together to make that happen.

How do you hope to impact the future of the Foundation?

I hope to assist the Foundation by helping with strategic planning when needed, advocating for children and the resources the Foundation needs to support them, and being another voice in our community helping to spread the word regarding the quality work of the Foundation.
