Cass Community Health Foundation in need of volunteers for school dental screenings

BELTON, Mo., (Aug. 7, 2019) – Cass Community Health Foundation (CCHF) is looking for volunteer dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants to help during their annual school-based dental screening program.

During the fall and winter months, CCHF provides free dental screenings for students in Cass County and Grandview schools. Community volunteers helped CCHF screen 4,885 youth during the 2018-2019 school year.

Volunteers are needed at schools in the East Lynne, Grandview, Harrisonville, and Sherwood-Cass districts. Volunteers for other Cass County schools will be needed in the winter.

“More than 100 volunteers are donating their time at our dental screenings,” Katie Schroeder, director of dental programs, said. “Each one is helping children in the community understand oral health and its importance.”

CCHF will provide dental screenings, fluoride varnish treatments and oral health education until March 2020. Click here to volunteer.
